I don’t like wearing a mask. I don’t like keeping social distance. I don’t like limited space in our church. I don’t like that restaurants are still closed. I don’t like that I can’t travel now, and so many other things that I don’t like. So, what do I do? I complain, I get impatient, I become ungrateful. Yes, there are many things that we don’t like and that’s why we complain. But today Jesus reminds us to be always thankful, even in the midst of hardship and difficulties. I don’t like wearing a mask, but I should be thankful that in this country I have easy access to all kinds of masks and protection. I don’t like keeping social distance, but I should be thankful that I live in an area where this easy to do. I don’t like limited space in the church, but I should be thankful that I can still worship and receive the sacraments. I don’t like that the restaurants are closed, but I should be thankful that I have food on my table. I don’t like that I can’t travel, but I should be thankful that I have television and the Internet. Today, I just want to be thankful.

Happy Thanksgiving!
