Today Zachariah reminds me that in my own prayer I should glorify God more than I do. Zachariah said: “blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel.” When I think about my prayers now, I realize that most often I keep asking for all kinds of things from God. Then when I try to thank Him for what I have or what He has blessed me with, there is not very much in my prayer of glorifying God and telling Him how wonderful He is. Even in private adoration, I talk to Jesus, I thank Him, I ask Him for things, but I do not praise Him as I should. Zachariah reminds me today how important it is to be able to glorify our God.
