If I asked you - why do you go to Mass, what would you say? There may be many answers to that, and probably none of them would be wrong. We come to Mass to worship God, to listen to His word, to be with a community of believers, to pray for each other, to bring our petitions to God, and most importantly we come to Mass to receive the Eucharist. But we also come to God because we want to get away from our busy world. We want to forget about all the challenges we are facing, and all the difficulties of our lives. Our lives are busy and filled with many events, with moments of joy but also with tears and sadness. So, we come to God, we come to Mass, we come to adoration, or we just raise our minds and hearts to God because we need some rest. We need His blessings. “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.”
