Thursday of the Seventh Week of Easter

Jn 17:20-26

Jesus continues praying for His disciples and for each one of us. And in today’s Gospel reading, He says something that caught my attention, just a couple words when He said: “I wish that where I am they also may be with me.” Jesus wants each one of us to be with Him in Heaven! Isn’t that wonderful? We all are invited -- more than invited -- our God’s wish is to have us all in Heaven after all the struggles in this world. The doors of Heaven are opened to us, and we have God who is waiting for us there. The choice is ours; we can either do all we can to find the way to that eternal home, or we can reject that invitation. Still, Jesus’ wish and prayer is that where He is, we could be too.
