Thursday of the Twenty Fifth Week in Ordinary Time ‘c’

Herod kept trying to See Jesus. Why? We don’t know the answer. However, I sometimes think that Herod felt guilty after killing John the Baptist. He knew that he made a mistake and perhaps he wanted to find Jesus and ask him for forgiveness. I don’t know this for certain, but I know that whenever I sin, I should seek Jesus and His forgiveness. There is no forgiveness for those who don’t think that they need to be forgiven and thus never ask for it. However, we all should humbly admit our sinfulness and ask Jesus to forgive us, whatever wrongs we have done. “I am the way and the truth and the life, says the Lord; no one comes to the Father except through me.”
