Thursday of the Twenty First Week in Ordinary Time ‘c’

There are some people who like to have everything in order all the time. One of my siblings is like that. She constantly cleans the house -- even one dish can’t be left in the sink for a moment, she would wash it right away. For her, everything needs to be in order all the time. I am a little different when it comes to cleaning my house. I would just clean once a week and it doesn’t bother me having a few dishes in my sink, or a sweater hanging on the chair. I just know that I will clean that, but not right away. However, when it comes to our spiritual life, we can’t delay with cleaning and organizing our soul; that must always be in good order. Jesus is reminding us about that today -- don’t wait until the end of this week, this month, or this year. Clean it right away because you don’t know when the master of the house will come. You can delay with cleaning your house, but never delay with cleaning your soul.
