We all know very well the story of the catch of fish by Peter who (even after Jesus encouraged him) at first was reluctant to try one more time throwing out his net even after an unsuccessful night of fishing. And what happened? “When they had done this, they caught a great number of fish and their nets were tearing. They signaled to their partners in the other boat to come to help them.” But what is even more significant is that right after that Jesus told Peter: “from now on you will be catching men.” In other words, you will bring people to Jesus and His Church. But what is more important -- you will not be able to do it alone, you will need help of others just like with pulling the nets full of fish. You can’t do it alone. We all have the same mission; we need to help catch and bring people to Jesus’ Church. We can’t expect only bishops, priests, and religious do that; they need our help.
