Tuesday (Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul)

Writer's picture: Fr. KrisFr. Kris

There are many movies out there with all kinds of superheroes. Each of these characters received some special power, and mostly they use it to fight against evil. All of them are the creatures of human imagination and they don’t exist, but we like to think that they are real and will protect our world. However today I like to think that there are superheroes among us, and they do protect our world. Each of us is “super” in that, through the sacrament of baptism, we are called to make this world a better and peaceful place. Jesus reminds us today: “Go into the whole world and proclaim the Gospel to every creature.” And then He continues: “They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Yes, Jesus is talking about us, about you and me. We are called to be superheroes to this world by helping others in the name of Jesus Christ.
