What I like about Jesus’ teaching is the fact that He was always very simple in what he taught. He spoke to ordinary people, used simple images and examples to make them understand and to make them believe. That’s why in the gospel reading today Jesus is surprised that a very well-educated man like Nicodemus can’t understand what He is telling him- “You are the teacher of Israel and you do not understand this?” I think that we need to understand that no high education, no degrees and no science is the key to know Jesus. Only faith is the key. There are many very highly educated people today, just like Nicodemus, but because they try to understand instead of believe, they can’t find Jesus in their lives. I pray today for a deeper faith.
