Tuesday of the 4 week of Advent ‘c’

We are constantly bombarded with all kinds of information, but sadly most of it is bad or tragic information. Every day you check the newspaper, listen to the news on the radio, on the TV, or in social media, almost always you hear about shootings, stealing, lying about the number of those affected with Covid, and of course about the troubles in our world. I think we don’t share enough positive news, and we all know that there are many wonderful things also happening. But as we all know, the bad news is more attractive, and it sells better. But we Catholics should be the messengers of the good news to this world. We are obligated to bring to this world a great news of God’s coming and being with us, about God who freed us from our sins and promised us eternal life. What is greater news than that? Mary and Elizabeth teach us today that it is important to share with this world the good news -- that God is with us.
