If you don’t want to believe, nothing will convince you. Some don’t want to believe that the pandemic is real and even though they see and read about people that are suffering and dying, they still say that this is only propaganda. If you don’t want to believe that an accused priest is innocent, even if this was proven, you will not believe the truth. If you don’t want to believe that your spouse is honest with you, you will not believe. Sometimes we are just closed, shut down and we will not allow the truth to convince us. “If you are the Christ, tell us plainly. Jesus answered them, I told you and you do not believe.” Jesus was telling them the truth from the beginning; he gave them signs and they still didn’t believe because they didn’t want to believe. Sometimes we just need to believe and trust that what others are saying is true.
