“Jesus went up on the mountain by himself to pray”- we read at the beginning of our Gospel passage today. This reminds us how essential pray should be to all of us, especially prior to making important decisions in life. In this busy world, we Christians need to find a time and a place to be away by ourselves in order to speak and to listen to God. Jesus performed many miracles, He taught many people, traveled from place to place. But each and every time, He would begin by finding a time to pray, to talk and to listen to God His Father. We may feel like we are left alone in this world, but perhaps, we need to slow down, get away from our busy schedule and just pray.
