Today we read about Jesus: “What is this? A new teaching with authority? He commands even the unclean spirits and they obey him. His fame spread everywhere throughout the whole region of Galilee.” This makes me think about those difficult moments in my life, the times when I don’t know what else to do, or where to go to ask for help. We all experience moments like that – during illness, suffering, struggles in marriage, addictions, rejection, and death. We have doubts, we may question our faith and our reasoning about life. But then we are reminded that we have a very powerful God who has the authority over everything in this world. He even commands the unclean spirits and they listen to Him; He even has power over death. Whenever we struggle, we need to remember that we have Jesus; we can turn to Him always and ask for His help.
