Tuesday of the Fourth Week of Advent ‘c’

Writer's picture: Fr. KrisFr. Kris

I like this beautiful prayer of Zechariah found in the gospel reading today. When you read it, and when you pay attention to Zechariah’s prayer, you will notice that it is filled with praising God. Zechariah is not asking God for anything, but never stops praising God for His goodness and thanking Him for what He has done for us – His people. This prayer always reminds me that I too should fill my prayers with praising God and thanking Him for all He has done for me. Quite often we tend to forget about this and only keep asking God to give us what we want. Perhaps next time you talk to God, thank Him for all His goodness and tell Him how wonderful He is.
