The Jews gathered around Jesus and said to him, “’How long are you going to keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly.’ Jesus answered them, ‘I told you and you do not believe.’” Indeed, Jesus told them many times that He is the Son of God. He even proved it to them, but still, they didn’t believe, they didn’t understand. Maybe they were too proud to admit that Jesus is the One; maybe they were too busy with their lives and didn’t notice. How easy it is to miss Jesus’ presence; how easy it is to miss Jesus’ words. It happens to us too today -- Jesus is with us, He talks to us, He explains many things. But because we are too busy with our lives, we miss that communication with the Lord. We just need to slow down a little, spend some time in prayer, and just listen to what God is trying to tell us.
