Tuesday of the Second Week of Advent ‘a’
“What would Jesus do?” This is a very popular phrase which we have heard many times. However, it is not just a silly phrase, but a very helpful tool that can help us to slow down, to think, and perhaps to make better judgments and better decisions in life. How many times, out of an impulse or emotions or anger, do we say or do something and then regret it? Wouldn’t it be better to just stop and think about this popular phrase? Today in the gospel reading, Jesus is asking us: what is your opinion, what would God do if one of His sheep goes astray? What is your opinion, what would Jesus do? “Will he not leave the ninety-nine in the hills and go in search of the stray?” God cares for each one of us even for those that turn away from Him. What would Jesus do? He would love and care for every person. What would you do?
