Tuesday of the Sixth Week in Ordinary Time ‘b’

I found the story from today’s gospel reading a little humorous. Listen to this: right after the disciples witnessed another great miracle of Jesus of the multiplication of bread and the fish, Jesus and His disciples continued their journey. But then the disciples realized that they didn’t bring with them enough food. “The disciples had forgotten to bring bread, and they had only one loaf with them in the boat.” So, here they are with Jesus, who showed them that He can feed all of those who are hungry, but they still argue about not having enough bread. Aren’t we like those disciples, knowing that with Jesus we don’t need to worry about anything, yet still doubting His power and love for us? Jesus is asking you the same: “Do you have eyes and not see, ears and not hear? And do you not remember, when I broke the five loaves for the five thousand.”
