“Zechariah was troubled by what he saw, and fear came upon him.” Zechariah and the Blessed Virgin Mary and Saint Joseph -- they all had something in common. They all had doubts about God’s will for their lives, but at the same time they trusted in Him and did fulfill His will. I learn from them that there is nothing wrong in having doubts in life. We all have those moments when some things that come our way seem to be impossible to overcome or to bear. Then we may have doubts and ask God, why is this happening to me? We may not understand why certain things are happening to us, and we may become troubled just like Zechariah. However, we need to keep faith and trust that God is present. He never abandons us, and He knows what He is doing. One day we will understand -- just like Zechariah, just like Mary and Joseph, and many others who, even though it was difficult and almost impossible to understand, fulfilled God’s will.
