Tuesday of the Third Week of Easter

What did Jesus do? What was His ministry? Simple questions that we all know the answers to. Jesus never did anything wrong, anything sinful, He didn’t harm anyone, He wished everyone well, loved His enemies, forgave those who hurt Him. Jesus fed the hungry, forgave sins, loved each person, and provided healing of body and soul. Now, we claim ourselves to be followers of Christ -- His disciples. Most of us would say that we are believers and that we believe in God, in Jesus, and we believe in the works that Jesus had done during His public ministry here on earth. However, that is not enough -- it is not enough just to believe. We are called to perform the same good deeds that Jesus performed. In the Gospel for today, we hear Jesus saying: “Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes in me will do the works that I do, and I will do greater ones than these.” If you believe -- start acting!
