Tuesday of the Thirteenth week in Ordinary time ‘c’

If you looked at a commentary for this particular Gospel passage, most times you would find that the boat is compared to our life and the stormy sea to our world that we live in, sometimes calm and peaceful, other times very stormy and dangerous. I always like that comparison because it reminds me that just like in that boat with the disciples, Jesus is present -- in a similar way, He is very present in my life. I just need to remember that He is there and always ready to help me to overcome any storm that would come my way. I just need to remember that my life will not be free of all difficulties, but I must make sure to invite Jesus on board. And when it gets too difficult for me, to wake Him up and ask for help. “Why are you terrified, O you of little faith? Then he got up, rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was great calm.”
