Tuesday of the Twenty Fourth Week in Ordinary Time ‘a’

Lk 7:11-17

Today we are witnessing a wonderful miracle -- Jesus is bringing back to life a young man who died. Something unheard of, something extraordinary No wonder all those who were witnessing that miracle couldn’t believe their own eyes. They knew that a human person can’t do anything like that. That’s why “they glorified God, exclaiming,A great prophet has arisen in our midst,’ and ‘God has visited his people.’” Indeed, God visited His people. Jesus came to bring to us the Good News about the resurrection. Today we can’t look with envy at those people who were there and experienced Jesus’ healing touch because God makes miracles happen even today. There is evil in this world, but there are also many wonderful miracles that are happening in our midst. We just need to see them and then repeat -- God truly has visited His people.
