Quite often after a busy day, I sit down, and I think whether I did everything I planned to do during that day. And often I realize that I missed certain prayers that I always say, or I didn’t have time to read the book that I wanted to read each day, or even the Bible. So, before going to bed, I start rushing and catching up with all those things I missed during the day. But it looks like Jesus doesn’t want me to rush through my prayers, but simply be quiet and listen to Him. He wants me to just enjoy being in His presence. I don’t always need talk. Sometimes we need to listen to what the Lord is trying to tell us. Jesus said to Martha: “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and worried about many things. There is need of only one thing. Mary has chosen the better part and it will not be taken from her.” Mary was able to leave everything behind, all her worries, and spend the time with Jesus.
