Tuesday of the Twenty Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time ‘a’

Unfortunately, there are some people who usually look at our Catholic Church with contempt or even anger. We might be rejected because of our faith in Jesus. How do you react to others’ rejection because of your beliefs? Are you angry? Do you want Jesus to punish them for that? Two of Jesus’ disciples wanted to bring down fire from heaven to consume a village that rejected their Master. They must have been very angry and disappointed. How could you reject God? But “Jesus turned and rebuked them, and they journeyed to another village.” Following Jesus brings some consequences, and very often that will be rejection, contempt, or anger. However, we can’t react with anger and revenge. Jesus does not want that. Instead, He wants from us to understand not to argue, not to fight, but to move ‘to another village’.
