Does everybody love Jesus? Do all believe in Him? No, and we know this -- there were, are, and will be people who would reject Jesus, won’t believe in Him, would hate Him, and would even want His name to be erased from this world. And because of Jesus’ name, there will be division, wars, and hatred among people, even in families. And this is what Jesus is warning us about. We have a choice to follow Him or not. But if we do, we too may be rejected, and even hated by those who are close to us. Jesus doesn’t try to discourage us, but simply warns us that as Christians we shouldn’t expect to be always loved by others.
