Since the day of our baptism, we have been entrusted with a great honor but also great responsibility. Today we are here to take care of our faith and to strengthen our Church. We are called to help make our Church grow for the glory of our God. Unfortunately, many of us keep forgetting about this by living selfishly, proudly, or even by scandalizing others by an immoral way of living. God is patient and keeps reminding us that we belong to Him and that everything we do should be done because of Him. He even sent His only Son to remind us to turn away from sin and believe in the Gospel. But evil people killed the Son of God -- they were too proud and greedy to listen to Him. We may think that the parable of the landowner and his tenants who killed the landowner’s son was addressed only to those who crucified Jesus. Rather, this parable is very alive today for us who forget that all we have and all we have accomplished is only because of God’s generosity and love. We can’t keep it to ourselves; we must share and make it grow.
