Why do you go to church on Sunday? Just skip it! the weather is so nice! You don’t cheat on exams. Why not? Most students do. You don’t need to be faithful to your spouse. -why don’t you join us, it will be a fun night? No, if you take something from your work, it’s not stealing, they are wasting it anyway. We have all heard these challenges to our moral life. We all know people that don’t care about Christian values and don’t follow the commandments. But not only that, they encourage others to follow their immoral ways of life. Jesus is very clear in the gospel reading for today: “Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do so will be called least in the Kingdom of heaven. But whoever obeys and teaches these commandments will be called greatest in the Kingdom of heaven.” We are called not only to follow the commandments but also to invite others to follow them also. The choice is yours.
