Have you ever wondered why some people make tremendous progress in their faith and some just stumble along? How about you? Where are you with your spiritual life? Are you making any progress? Jesus is speaking to us equally; we all hear the same Gospel stories, there has been nothing new added to the Bible. It’s all the same, repeated over and over again. Also, we have been using the same prayers, and most of us receive the same sacraments and go to mass. So why is there a difference? Why are some making more progress in their faith than others? Today Jesus gives us an answer. He preaches to everyone the same, but it is not enough to just listen to His words; we need to perform good and moral actions and get rid of everything that blocks us from making our spirits grow. “Some seed fell on rich soil, and produced fruit, a hundred or sixty or thirtyfold.”
