Wednesday of the 2 week of Advent ‘b’

This year of 2020 has been obviously different from other years that we remember. Because of the pandemic and other challenging things happened, many of us wish that this year would be over already, hoping that next year will be better. It is sad that we couldn’t do a lot of our regular events and projects that we planned and were looking forward to. Many of us had to sacrifice giving up birthday celebrations, family visits, dreamed vacations, summer gatherings with friends, and many more. We are saddened and overwhelmed, and we just hope for the best. And at the end of this troubled year, Jesus comes to us with such comforting words and says: “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.” Yes, come to me with your sadness, with your broken hearts, come to me with all the troubles you may be experiencing now, and I will give you rest.
