Have you ever wondered how Jesus prayed? Often in the gospel we read that Jesus went to a certain out-of-the-way place and prayed to His Father. His disciples also wondered how the Son of God prays, so they asked Him: “Lord, teach us to pray just as John taught his disciples.” This is how you should pray, Jesus said:

Father, hallowed be your name,

your Kingdom come. Give us each day our daily bread and forgive us our sins for we ourselves forgive everyone in debt to us, and do not subject us to the final test.”

What I have noticed is that Jesus wants our prayer to contain certain elements: first, we need to praise God, love him, and tell Him this; second, we need to ask him to bless us with the necessary things in this life; third, we must ask Him to forgive us our sins, because we admit that we are sinners; and then we need to love and forgive others. That’s how you should pray.
