Wednesday of the 34 week in ordinary time

Don’t you get a bit angry when you see how secular this world has come to be? People avoid talking about religion, they won’t even mention the name of Christ. They say “Holidays” instead of “Christmas” to be politically correct and not offend anyone. Do you remember the times when the images of Jesus Christ, even in public places, didn’t bother anybody? Now Jesus is pushed aside, yes, you are allowed to believe and pray, but do this privately. Indeed, this makes us angry, but Jesus knew that this would happen, and He reminds us today that we shouldn’t worry so much. We shouldn’t even get angry because they (the world) will persecute us in many different ways, but if we persevere, we will be rewarded. “You will be hated by all because of my name, but not a hair on your head will be destroyed. By your perseverance you will secure your lives.”
