In the Gospel for today we read that Elizabeth gave a birth to a son and “Her neighbors and relatives heard that the Lord had shown his great mercy toward her, and they rejoiced with her.” For me this is so uplifting that people who were close to Elizabeth were able to rejoice with her. Perhaps I need to think today how do I react if something very good and joyful happens to my relatives, friends or neighbors. Do I share that joy with them, am I able to say- I am so happy for you, congratulations and truly be happy with them, or I become envious, angry or disappointed?
