Wednesday of the 4 week of Easter ‘b’

Writer's picture: Fr. KrisFr. Kris

At times we may think that because of our sins, our disobedience to God and His commandments, He will punish us or will be angry. How wrong that is! God loves us and knows that we do sin at times, but He is always ready to forgive. Just a few weeks back we celebrated His Divine Mercy, and even though by our sins we add wounds to Jesus’ body, He still comes to us and says- PEACE BE WITH YOU! He always forgives us. And today Jesus is confirming that He didn’t come to condemn the world but to save it. He wants to save all of us. But if we shut off ourselves from His love and forgiveness, then we will have a problem because: “whoever rejects me and does not accept my words has something to judge him: the word that I spoke, it will condemn him on the last day.” God will never abandon us, but we may abandon God and His forgiveness.
