We all want to be successful in life. That’s why we invest in education and all kinds of workshops and courses. And as you know, we never stop learning or progressing, and so we should. Before I became a priest, I was working as a photographer. I did some courses in photography, I worked in a photo studio and was even able to sell some of my work. Back then I believed that this would be my job, my main source of income, so I tried to learn as much as I could from other photographers. I also read many books about different techniques, and I was always learning about the new equipment coming out. So one day, I switched from film to digital. What I am saying is that in order to be successful and good at whatever you do, you need to invest your time, money, and constantly progress. That will pay off one day. See, in the spiritual life, it is no different. In order to deepen your faith and your relationship with God, you need to invest your time and energy. You can’t just say -- I am a baptized Catholic, and that’s enough. No. We need to do our part, we need to bring forth good fruit. “By this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples.”
