Once again in the gospel reading for today, another group of people try to catch Jesus on saying something wrong, something contrary to their beliefs. They pose these ridiculous questions to Jesus, just to catch Him saying something wrong. But Jesus never said anything wrong. He is all Truth and was saying only the Truth, even if it was difficult to accept by His listeners. They were not ready to change their lives and not ready to change their way of thinking and to begin to believe that Jesus is the son of God and that there is resurrection and the life that never ends. They were unable to change their hearts. So instead, they kept asking those ridiculous questions. But some people do that today too, even to you and me. They will try to convince you that your faith makes no sense. They will be asking the questions, not because they are hungry for an explanation, but simply to ridicule you and make fun of your religion. All we need to do is to repeat that truth that comes from our Lord.
