Wednesday of the Second Week of Advent ‘c’

Where do you go when you feel lonely, abandoned, depressed? What do you do when everything in your life seem to be falling apart? What did you do when you lost the person whom you loved so much or when you were diagnosed with cancer? Where do you go when you couldn’t fight that addiction, or you couldn’t break that sinful habit? We all, sooner or later, experience some very difficult moments in life. Moments when we don’t know what else to do, or to whom we should turn and ask for help. Jesus is telling us that if we experience moments like that, we should turn to Him. He is waiting to give us comfort and to strengthen our faith. As you know, at times life can get very challenging and difficult. But we are not alone, even when it feels like everybody has turned away from us. Jesus will never abandon you, no matter what. He is promising this today: "Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light."
