Jesus was raised from the dead! Only the son of God has the power to defeat death and come out alive from the tomb. Now with power like that, He could go after those who ridiculed him, like all those who in Jerusalem that chose Barabbas not God. He could go after Pilate, after those who made Him suffer, made Him carry that heavy cross up the mountain, and Jesus could go after those who nailed him to that cross. This would be a logical thing to do from our human viewpoint - seek revenge, go after those who killed Him, and now give them the proof that He is alive. But Jesus didn’t do that. Jesus didn’t look for any revenge after His resurrection. Instead, He continued to appear to His disciples and to others and continued to spread the same message of love. “God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him.” Our God is not revengeful. He loves us, and He sent His son not to condemn us for our sins, but to save us.
