Wednesday of the Thirty- Third Week in Ordinary Time ‘c’

Lk 19:11-28

We have received the tremendous gift of faith. However, our faith is not just a gift that we keep only for ourselves. We are obliged to make it grow and to share it with others. If you don’t use that gift that way, then it may be taken away from you. You might hear others saying things like: my faith is my personal thing; I keep it for myself. Jesus reminds us today that it is wrong not to grow in faith, not to multiply it, and not to share it with others. When Jesus proposed the parable about the servants that were entrusted with golden coins, He wanted us to understand what we need to do with that precious gift of faith. Your faith is like that gold coin which, when only kept securely and hidden from others, will not bring any fruits neither for you nor for others. “I tell you, to everyone who has, more will be given, but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.”
