Wednesday of the Twenty Second Week in Ordinary Time ‘b’

St. Theresa of Avila once said that Jesus has “no hands, no feet on earth but yours, yours are the eyes with which he looks with compassion on this world. Christ has no body now on earth but yours.” This is so true! Today we are called to be ‘Christs’ for others, especially to those who need to meet Him, or to those who can’t come to receive Him in the sacrament of the Eucharist. We are called to bring Jesus that we know and have received - to others. When Jesus came to this earth, He didn’t stay in one place, but He traveled from place to place so that others may be blessed with His presence. Jesus said: “to the other towns also I must proclaim the good news of the Kingdom of God, because for this purpose I have been sent.” We can’t keep our faith in Jesus only to ourselves, but we must share it with others, because today we are ‘Christs’ to this world.
