Wednesday of the Twenty Sixth Week in Ordinary Time ‘c’

Sometimes we look back on our lives and have some regrets. Something like -- maybe I should have gone to a different school, or pursued another vocation, or maybe gotten a different job, bought a different house than the one I purchased, or even married that other person. Would you be happier, then -- if you made another choice? Maybe. But who knows? However, we should never have any regrets about being a Christian, a follower of Jesus. Jesus clearly tells us today, that if you made a choice to follow Him, but still having some regrets, or you look back thinking that this was not the best choice, then you cannot be His disciple. “Jesus said: no one who sets a hand to the plow and looks to what was left behind is fit for the Kingdom of God." Following Jesus may not be easy, but we should never look back. Otherwise we won’t be fit for the Kingdom of God.
