What will I get for all of those sacrifices I make for my faith? I go to church each Sunday, pray often, try to live morally well and according to the commandments, I try to help the poor and be good to others, but what for? My life is often not any better than those who don’t believe and are away from the church and God. Have you ever wondered or asked yourself these questions? Well today, Nathanael hears from the Lord that he will be blessed and will witness great things because he chose to follow Christ. We all make some sacrifices, smaller or greater for our faith. However, we may not be rewarded for them in this life, but for sure we will be rewarded afterwards. Today to me and to you, Jesus addresses this same promise: “You will see greater things than this. Amen, amen, I say to you, you will see heaven opened and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.”
