Monday of the Third Week in Ordinary Time ‘b’

Our God is Love. There is nothing unclean about Him, He is Holy, He is perfect. He is One God in Three persons that are bound together by perfect love. In the gospel reading today, Jesus- who is the Son of God- is being accused by the scribes that “He is possessed by Beelzebul, andby the prince of demons he drives out demons.” That’s why Jesus said that it is unacceptable to speak about God that way. Nobody is allowed to say that God is evil or that He is possessed by evil. No -- God is pure and perfect love, and there is no room for any evil to be associated with God. Jesus said, very strongly: “Amen, I say to you, all sins and all blasphemies that people utter will be forgiven them. But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never have forgiveness but is guilty of an everlasting sin. For they had said, He has an unclean spirit.”
