“You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased.” Aren’t you proud of your children if they accomplish great things in their lives? Even when your child is quite young and you see him or her making their first steps, and hear the very first words coming out from their mouth, doesn’t that make you very proud? I am sure it does. Jesus is the beloved Son of God, and God is well pleased in Him because He does His Father’s will. God is proud of Jesus. But since our baptism we are also daughters and sons of God. Is God proud of me today, is He well pleased in me? God wants me to progress in my faith, He wants me to move forward and make Him proud.
