Almost every day since the resurrection, we have learned from Jesus how important it is to share our faith with others. If the women who first came to the tomb of Jesus didn’t share that with the disciples, if the disciples didn’t pass the news on to others, then today we may never have learned about Jesus, the Son of God. That’s why now it is our mission to share the Good News with others. Too many of us Catholics are afraid to speak about God, too many would rather keep our religion to ourselves. We do pray, we do come to Mass, we confess our sins, we keep Jesus to ourselves, but this is not enough. He said to Mary Magdalene: “Stop holding on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am going to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’ Mary went and announced to the disciples, ‘I have seen the Lord!’” We have seen the Lord, so now like Mary we must share that with others.
