We like when people are punctual, when they arrive on time. We also know that others like when we are on time, when we have an appointment or meeting with friends. We have reminders set up in our smartphones about the things and tasks we need to do during the day, week and month. I remember once that I was having something delivered to my house and I needed to be there to sign the delivery receipt. The day before, I got a call from the delivery company that they would be at my house between 10am and 4pm. I was waiting, and waiting, and waiting and the delivery person was at my door around 3:45pm. We all know how irritating that is, waiting and waiting, and not being able to go anywhere because we do not want to miss the delivery. Jesus is coming back but He didn’t leave us the exact day or time of His arrival, not even the time frame of His arrival. So, we always need to be ready to open the doors for Him. We must be vigilant because we don’t know the day nor the hour and certainly, we don’t want to miss that.
