The lesson coming from the Gospel reading today is very simple -- everything we have received from God must grow and multiply. Our spirituality must grow, our love must grow, our faith must grow, and the Kingdom of God must grow. We are responsible for this growing of the Kingdom. We can’t just keep the gifts that we have received from God only for ourselves, only for our own benefit. We have to make sure that when we are here in this world, we need to take care of those seeds that were once planted in our hearts and make sure that those seeds become like that mustard seed that will grow into a large and beautiful tree. “When it was fully grown, it became a large bush and the birds of the sky dwelt in its branches.”
