Sometimes others ask us to pray for them, or to say a prayer for a loved one who is sick. There are also times when someone would say to us: I prayed for you, or I prayed for your mom, or I prayed that you travel safely. It is comforting to know that others think about us and say a prayer when we need it. But do you realize that Jesus is praying for us too? In the gospel for today and for the next couple days, you will read that Jesus is raising His eyes to heaven and saying a prayer for each one of us. We all need to pray and to have others pray for us, but knowing that Jesus himself says a prayer for you and I is so comforting.
