Tuesday of the Seventeenth Week in Ordinary Time ‘a’

There is good and there is evil in this world. There are good people and bad people. It has always been this way, and it will most likely be like this in the future. But there are some people who realized that their actions were not good, were hurtful to others. They realized that they lived in sin, and then they decided to abandon their bad former way of living and become a good person. Unfortunately, there are also those people that were attracted and influenced by evil, and from being a good person they turned into sinners. It’s just like in the parable of the weeds in the field. “The weeds are the children of the Evil One, and the enemy who sows them is the Devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels. Just as weeds are collected and burned up with fire, so will it be at the end of the age.” We all live in this world surrounded by good and surrounded by evil, but it is up to us whose side we join. Just remember -- the harvest is coming.
