“Philip found Nathanael and told him: we have found the one about whom Moses wrote in the law, and also the prophets, Jesus son of Joseph, from Nazareth.” What an exciting moment for Philip and full of amazement. He wants to share this great news with his relative and friends, but more than that, Philip wants to bring them to Jesus, despite the doubts: “Can anything good come from Nazareth? Philip said to him, Come and see.” Looking at Philip today, we need to ask ourselves if we share the same excitement of knowing Jesus, but also -- what do we do in order to bring others to Christ, so they might believe and follow Him, just like Nathanael? Who knows, maybe if Philip didn’t invite Nathanael to come and see, Nathanael would never get to know the Lord? This is our mission to -- to share our joy of knowing Jesus and invite others to come and see.
