Fifteenth Sunday on Ordinary Time ‘c’

Two most important commandments -- love God and love your neighbor. It is easy to say that I love God. There is only one God, there are no others, so I love Him. However, it gets a bit more difficult when it comes to love of my neighbor. Who is my neighbor? we hear in the Gospel today. How can I love my neighbor? And through his beautiful parable, Jesus tells us that my neighbor is the one that needs my attention right now, right here. No matter who that person is, what language they speak, what color of skin they have, no matter if I like that person or not -- my neighbor whom I should love like myself is the one who needs me right in this very moment. “You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your being, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.” Who is your neighbor?
