Jesus knows us better than we know ourselves. He is our Good Shepherd who loves us and laid down His life for us. He knows your name, He knows where you come from, He knows every detail of your life. He even knows your future and knows what is best for you. As a Good Shepherd He wants to protect you always. But today Jesus said that “I am the good shepherd, and I know mine and mine know me.” So, the question is -- how well do you know your Shepherd? How well do you know Jesus? And I am not talking about some historical or biblical facts from Jesus’ life, but how much do you trust Him, how much do you love Him. How much are you willing to offer your life into His care? Jesus is a Good Shepherd not only because He knows us, but because we are invited to get to know Him.
